IF YOU SEE A LITTLE, YOU SEE A LOT — IF YOU SEE A LOT YOU SEE NOTHING!
Hey Everyone,

I first heard this quote from my college defensive coordinator at USC, Monte Kiffin.
"If You See A Little, You See A Lot — If You See A lot You See Nothing!"
In football terms this meant lock in on your specific keys; for me as a defensive end/outside linebacker that meant — watch the ball so I can get a good get off, once ball is snapped put my attention on the offensive tackle so I can beat him for the sack. If I focus on those specific details I would put myself in position to be successful. On the contrary, if before the ball is hiked I am watching the quarterback, the receivers lined up around me, looking back at my linebacker for the call and so on I am seeing WAY too much and I am putting myself in a position to fail.
Well, I have found that this concept applies very well in business also. Many people have way too broad of a focus and are trying to do too many things at once so they wind up not doing anything very well. What I have found is find what you are best at and most passionate about and focus on that piece and surround yourself around other intelligent people who can focus on the other things. By doing this you put yourself in a position to stand out! Whether you are an employee, entrepreneur or an investor focus on the specific details of your job or role and let the rest take care of itself!
This message has served me well in my football career as well as today as an entrepreneur and investor and I hope it can do the same for you!
