CHANGING THE NEWSLETTER NAME

Hey Team,

I had a change of heart in regards to the name of this newsletter and I thought I owed it to everyone who regularly reads it to know WHY.

In my book It All Adds Up I shared that “football is what I do but not who I am” and after some time I felt that calling my newsletter The Athlete Investor was tying me to the game of football and being an athlete instead of who I am… Devon Kennard.

The content of this newsletter will be much the same.. my weekly thoughts on Real Estate Investing, Private Lending and Business. My perspective will always be influenced by my athletic background but I want room to grow into all that I am becoming now and it’s certainly much more than just an athlete.

So what exactly have I been up to all 2024?

1. I have been working on my 2nd book with Bigger Pockets, the leading real estate content/media company. The title of my next book is Real Estate Side Hustle. This book will be coming out in October and if you follow me on social media you will begin seeing much more content about that release.

2. I started my private lending company 42 Solutions at the end of 2023. 42 Solutions lends to real estate investors who are fix and flipping single family or small multifamily properties and I have spent the 1st half of 2024 growing this business and I am proud to say I have funded nearly $5M and 30 total loans thus far and am actively growing this business.

3. I have purchased a new 6 plex of my own in the greater Tampa area that is currently over a complete rehab and should be complete and rented out by the end of the year!

4. I have spoken at 6 real estate or business related conferences with just as many scheduled for the 2nd half of the year.

As you can see, my cleats are collecting dust and I am growing and evolving in a completely different field now and this newsletter is to share what I am doing, what I am learning and hopefully one day earning your trust enough that you will consider buying my books and investing with me one day.
